Manitoba Youth Job Center

The Virden Community Chamber of Commerce is the host committee for the Manitoba Youth Job Center. Every year a student is hired to work this position from May through to the end of August.

The Manitoba Youth Job Centres (MYJCs) provide students and youth ages 12-29 with free information and education on career development and employment-related skills such as labour regulations, workplace health and safety matters, resume preparation, interview assistance, and job-search techniques.

The MYJCs also provide a free employment referral service for local employers, where our staff matches qualified, enthusiastic student and youth workers to summer employment opportunities.

The MYJCs are operated by the Province of Manitoba in cooperation with community-based Sponsoring Committees in 40 rural locations throughout the Province.

This office is located at the Virden Employment Skills Center at 227 Wellington Street West, Virden.
